
Action Role-Playing Game

Horizon II Forbidden West is an action roleplaying game and sequel to the 2017 Horizon Zero Dawn.
​
The game is set in a post-apocalyptic version of the United States and takes place 6 months after the first game. Players take control of the protagonist Aloy in her quest to restore the planet's deteriorating biosphere.
On her journey, Aloy encounters a variety of environments, nomadic tribes, and deadly machines.
Players use a wide variety of weapons, tools, and skills to overcome the challenges Aloy faces during her adventures to save the World.

Below is a list of my contributions to the project:

Created the Low-Level Design Documents for Multiple Enemy Machines with collaborative feedback from the Lead Combat Designer.

Collaborated with Lead and Principal Combat Designers, Animators, Technical Designers, AI Programmers, and VFX Artists to integrate multiple aspects of over 40 enemy Machines and their variants.

Updated and maintained all returning Machines from the first game to be in line with the design changes for the sequel.

Integrated Enemy Machines with custom configurations for special setpiece encounters.

Maintained and aided in the balancing of enemy Machines over the course of production.

Created Low-Level Systems Design Documents with collaborative feedback from the Lead and Principal combat Designers.

Created Low-Level Design Documents for combat-centric interactive objects with collaborative feedback from the Lead Combat Designer.

Collaborated with the Principal Combat Designer and Tools Programmers to maintain and improve a critical tool within the engine used by multiple teams.
